things i'm doing to make myself feel better ! x

i was in a rut for such a long time. honestly probably for about 3 months from february - april. and now (it's mid May as i'm writing this) i am feeling so much more like myself again.

and feeling like yourself is the best feeling in the world!


but i know what it's like to feel stuck in a bad place. feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious. i get it.


i want you to find the bright side!!!


so i thought i would share some things that i am doing to make myself feel better, and maybe you can do to !






the first thing is SO IMPORTANT! is learning and remembering that life is wavy. i feel like i have gotten so caught up so many times in the fact that my life, and my emotions were/are all over the place. always so up and down and so wavy. but you know what! that's life!! it's actually not a you problem, you're not crazy for having all of these emotions. so it's okay that you're feeling this way, because life itself, is wavy.


having this revelation has quite literally changed my mindset 🌊🌊

the second thing is to do the things that make YOU HAPPY !!!!

what do you like to do? what makes you smile? some ideas might be:

  • watching a comfort movie

  • baking !

  • journaling

  • listening to a podcast

  • scrolling through pinterest / creating a new vision board

  • getting outside !

  • reading

  • doing a facemask

  • got to a cafe

  • go on a solo date (solo date ideas coming soon don't you worry !)


the list can go on for as long as you let it ! and no thing is too little or too silly. if it is something you enjoy, make the time for it !!!


self care and rest is so crucial. you have to take care of yourself! and yes it is productive!!!

the third is (what i'm currently working on) having GOOD HABITS !

getting into a good routine, and doing things that make you feel good, and feel your best is such a crucial step in feeling better. sometime life can be a bit "ahhhh" so implementing habits into your life, can really keep you going. at least for me, it definitely keeps me going ! if you are looking for some inspiration, the habits i am currently working on are:

  • journaling in the morning

  • morning movement (either a happy girl walk or an at home workout !)

  • getting outside everyday !

  • reading before bed (i'm currently reading atomic habits, which is very fitting !)


and sometimes i really really struggle with a lack of motivation, so i'm also trying to make doing these habits fun and easy. like for my morning movement, i barely ever feel like doing this ! but i know how good it makes me feel afterwards!!! so i'm trying to pick out my workout clothes the night before, and laying them on my floor ready for me to either go for a walk or do a little at home workout. it just makes it seem so much less overwhelming and takes much less effort when it is already there for you ! plus i always love picking out a cute outfit !!


it takes time, but eventually we do start to work out what is best for ourselves. and i encourage you to have a think about the things that do make you feel good and better ! because like i said, life is wavy! but if you know what makes you feel better and have a kinder mindset, it will make things a lot easier. believe me i know.


i promise you, you have got this! you are doing so well! just remember to take it one day at a time!! and you are not alone! look i'm living life along side you !


i absolutely believe in you! and just know it WILL GET BETTER <3
